The Benefits of Stretching before and after workout

A lot of people don’t emphasis the importance of warming up before they start their workout. This 5-minute stretching will do a world of goodness to your workout especially.  They also help the body warm up and accelerate blood circulation

Here are 5 benefits of Warming up before a workout

The kind of Warmup stretching you can do are dynamic stretching such as walking lunges, butt kicks, toe to hand, jumping jacks, leg swings and trunk rotation just to name a few. Dynamic stretching will help you in your workout especially when you want to increase your range of motion and activate the muscle you are about to use.

For post workout you can end it with warm down static stretches like hand to toe which will help bring your muscle back to its original pre workout state. The types of Static stretching are Upper Back Stretch, Shoulder Stretch, (standing) Hamstring Stretch.

Therefore, you should include stretching in your pre and post workout.
