MANY fitness enthusiasts probably would not foresee days of survival without their daily workout routine coupled with sweats when the movement control order (MCO) was implemented on March 18 to curb Covid-19 pandemic.
For those runners, gym-goers, hikers, cyclists and other activities that require mass group of people, they would have braced for a gloomy day ahead when MCO started. However, as time goes by, Malaysians as always creative as it can be, thinking something out of the box when need to.
As soon as the MCO kicked in, many of the frequent fitness-goers have come out with own creative workouts to be carried out at home. Ranging from jumping jacks, push-ups, circuit-training and cardio related training, many taking the initiative by doing home workouts with whatever equipment on hand.
This is part of the best way to keep oneself healthy and sweat it out when outdoor activities came to a halt. Many have resorted to using Zoom, Google Meet and any other applications to motivate each other from doing home-based workout.
Words of encouragement and having rare virtual session of workout are pushing the group of fitness people to continue with their daily route. Therefore, home-based workouts are still workable and able to keep a person healthy and maintain a lean physique.
If you’re one of the gym fanatics, always alter your workout in accordance to your needs. Workouts must be done at all cost no matter what the circumstances are. Afterall, it helps you to keep fit.
Even though, if MCO is lifted, Malaysians must adapt to a ‘new normal’ by sticking to home workout session for a certain period. If there’s a way, there’s a will! Hang on there and don’t give up!
